A Message from Fathers Perez, Stretenovic, and Starbuck about Movies

We hereby express to you our concern about two movies that are being released this Christmas.  They are "Novelle" and "The Golden Compass".  Both of these movies are vehemently anti-Catholic and are being promoted with the intention of attacking our Catholic faith.  We want you to know that no Catholic can attend either of these two movies with a clear conscience or in good faith.  To do so would be morally sinful and would promote a cause inimical to our Catholic faith.

Yes, you are registered but

Several times lately I have been faced with the difficulty of contacting parishioners whose names are in the database, but their phone numbers are not correct.  Please be sure to update any changes to your phone number or address.  - Father Starbuck

Holy Communion may be received only by Catholics believing themselves to be in the state of Sanctifying Grace, who are observing at least one hour fast prior to reception of the Sacrament.  We are urged, however, to observe the fast from midnight, or at least 3 hours.  While always welcome non-Catholics and those who do not accept the traditional teachings of the Church in matters of faith and morals, are NOT to receive Communion at this Mass.

Perez.  The cleaning of the chapel takes place on Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Please plan any chapel activities you have to take place after that time.  The Altar Society is still in dire need of volunteers to help clean the chapel.  They have flexible hours.  Please let them know them know if you can help (even just for one hour) and when you are available.  No experience necessary!  They will train you.  The sign up sheet is in the bookstore or call Carmen Gonzalez at (714) 776-5388.

Thank you - The Altar Society.
